Master of Fine Arts study 2007 and 2008. My intention was to break with my previous practice of painting landscape, challenge myself and break new ground.

I regard this body of work - a blend of photography, painting and performance - as light painting.
This work takes my practice of painting to a new level and explores the possibilities and potential of light as a painting medium.
Light Painting 01-85 and Light Painting 23-82 have recently been produced as light boxes and will be exhibited in Artwork Auckland 2018 at Comet Project Space, Ponsonby.
